MEET US BY THE RIVER

Nestled in the quaint town of Salida on 40 acres of riverfront property is our latest endeavor — The Outlands, an eco-adventure retreat where we’ll welcome guests to GO ALL OUT on multi-day stays with us. We’re building low-impact earth block cabins and primitive campsites that will be a launchpad for adventures in the Arkansas River Valley. Most importantly, we're here to positively impact the local community and local businesses, while creating something magical as sustainably as possible.

PLANS APPROVED, LET’S GO!

After an intensive two-year review, our site plans have been approved and we’re ready to begin construction! We’ve got so much in store for our retreat, from cozy earth block cabins and facilities, to lodges, communal fire pits, primitive campsites, and more. Good for the earth and good for your soul, The Outlands is designed for minimal impact and maximum engagement. You’re not roughing it here — our cabins are as luxury as camping can be. Our aim is for you to unplug a bit while connecting with the land and your fellow guests.

Salida has everything intrepid pathfinders like us (and you) could want. From the soaring 14ers to world-class rafting and fishing, the surrounding area has everything adventure-seekers like us could dream of.

Now, we’re making our dreams a reality with an eco-adventure retreat that offers an escape while giving back to our community. Really, we chose Salida just as much as it chose us.

A Launchpad to a New Frontier

Aspire’s adventure retreat in Salida is your new basecamp to a treasure trove of outdoor recreation, sightseeing, and local flavor.

You can hike and backpack in the stunning Sawatch Range, raft down the world-renowned Brown’s Canyon, then soak your achy muscles at Mount Princeton Hot Springs.

We’ll even offer tours of the nearby Great Sand Dunes National Park, spooky visits to Saint Elmo ghost town, and brewery and dinner tours in Salida and Buena Vista. We might even offer ATV adventures and skydiving from Canon City! The area really does have it all.

Eco-friendly Earth Block Construction

Our vision? 5 guest cabins, 1 employee cabin, a single-family residence, and an outfitter barn with offices — all made with eco-friendly earth blocks.

Why earth blocks? They're not only sustainable, but we love the unique, upscale look of earth block construction. We even bought our own earth block machine! This means we’ll be doing our cabin building in-house.

Whether you're on a work retreat or an outing with family and friends, you'll get cozy accommodations and a place to gather after a day of fun. (And yes, we will also be establishing primitive campsites if you’d prefer to sleep in your tent!)

Supported by the Local Community

We’ve done our due diligence and worked with the local community to create something that Salida can be proud of. We’re here to be a rose, not a thorn.

We plan to work with local caterers on organic, chef-prepared meals for guests. We will provide good local jobs with housing. Eventually, we will add on-site agriculture which will open up even more opportunities. We’ll bring business and joy to the local community.
